Matt Rhule has officially arrived at Nebraska landing the top quarterback in the 2024 recruiting class in Dylan Raiola. While Nebraska Football should’ve always been the favorite for Dylan as his father Dominic was once a Cornhusker himself that wasn’t always the case. Dylan once committed to Ohio State before flipping his commitment to the alma mater of a different family member. Dylan Raiola the godson of Matthew Stafford looked to follow his godfather’s footsteps and committed to play football for the Georgia Bulldogs in May.

The Nebraska Football team stayed in the hunt the entire time refusing to give up on pursuing the Nebraska legacy as their future quarterback. Raiola is already making history for the Nebraska Football team becoming the first five star in modern recruiting to commit to the Nebraska Football program. Raiola is now a part of the 23rd ranked class by 24/7 sports class rankings, a ranking that may rise with his commitment drawing potential teammates to Nebraska.

In his first year at Nebraska Matt Rhule as put the Cornhuskers back onto the map making a statement with the signing of Raiola. Rhule went out and landed the top quarterback in the class bringing in two four-star targets for Raiola to team up with for at least three more seasons. Rhule didn’t just flip Raiola from any program he took Raiola from the Georgia Bulldogs who’ve had a strangle hold on college football for two and a half seasons and currently hold the top ranked recruiting class.

Early Signing Day will serve as a chance for Nebraska to show Big Ten rivals in Ohio State and Michigan that they’re back on their way to regaining National Prominence in college football like they once had. The past decade for Nebraska has been negative as the cornhuskers have continued to fall from the mountain top they were once on in College Football. The arrival of Rhule brings plenty to be excited about for Nebraska and he’s already cashing in with this years recruiting class. The next step for Rhule will be attacking the transfer portal to fill holes immediately so Raiola and company can compete in the newly realigned Big Ten as former Pac-12 schools join the conference.

National Signing Day 2024 could be the day that Nebraska fans look back on in the near future as the day that turned the program back into one of the top programs in the country as they were for such a long time.
